When
I had my first baby in November 2003, I felt seriously thrown
into the deep end. She was a bad sleeper and very colicky
and as I was the first of my friends to have a baby I felt
quite alone in the whole scary experience of being a first
time mother. Of course I had read all the books and every
magazine I could get my hands on, but nothing could prepare
me for the exciting yet terrifying journey!
When
I finally got my feet back on the ground I realised, surely,
there are other moms out there feeling the same way that I
do? And so I sent out a newsletter to a group of about twenty
moms, and before I knew it I had over 500 subscribers and
a website to offer that support that I felt was so desparately
needed - advice from moms who have been through it - just
to know "it's okay and you are doing the best you can
do".
I
now have two gorgeous daughters, Megan and Caitlin, and it
is true, it DOES get easier! But hopefully you as a mum will
always find the support you need on Mum's the Word!
Best
wishes
